
A dynamic director and producer with a track record of premium, award-winning documentaries that marry the majesty of the natural world with the storytelling power of Hollywood. Stott’s debut feature Kangaroo Valley (Netflix) garnered an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Nature Documentary and was highlighted in festivals worldwide.
The film was the first release from AMPLE Nature, which Stott launched in 2020. Netflix picked up the title less than six months later, and over the following four years Stott helmed the division as Senior Vice President. Across her career she has developed and sold over $30 million in doc series and films across nature, science, history, archaeology and adventure.
Stott’s previous titles include David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef and Stephen Hawking’s Brave New World. Across her career, she has directed up to five crews working simultaneously across various locations. Her teams have filmed multiple world firsts of animal behavior and latest series had her remote camping for three months in Alaska filming grizzly bears.
Before documentaries, she worked as a foreign correspondent for Reuters – the largest media organization in the world – covering earthquakes, tsunamis, presidential elections and political turmoil. She’s interviewed nine presidents, sporting stars such as Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi and celebrities such as Jude Law and Viggo Mortensen. She has lived on four continents including in the UK, US, Argentina and Australia.
